Day 31-Cute Cousins

Today we went to lunch to celebrate Jason's birthday with my family and the two boy cousins are always happy to see each other so I took a few pictures of the two of them together.  This one is my favorite.

Day 30- A boy and his dog

Brant loves to love on our dog Angel and today he saw me giving her hugs and kisses and he wanted a turn too, so I got out the camera and took a picture of the two of them snuggled together.  They are too cute and sweet!

Day 29 - Taco night!

Tonight I made tacos for dinner and they were super yummy, Brant had just cheese and sour cream on his but Daddy and I had ground turkey tacos with LOTS of cheese and rice and it was delicious.  I will definitely have to make tacos more often!

Day 28- Bakugan...getting Daddy to join in!

Yep, you are still super involved in Bakugan and when Daddy came home from work you wanted him to play along with you so the two of you played with the toys together while you watched an episode.  You two were adorable to watch!

Day 27 - Bakugan with your toys

Today it wasn't enough to just watch the show you wanted to play along so you got out your Bakugan cards and toys and you played along with the show shouting out and rolling the toys on the cards.  You had a blast!

Day 26-Bakugan

You really love your Bakugan toys that you got from Santa and you were so excited to find out there was a cartoon that goes with the toys and you have been wanting to watch it.  I set it up to record for you and you watched it after school today twice!  You had a lot of fun yelling along with the show and you were super cute to watch!

Day 25- Happy Birthday Daddy!

I had a training for work today so I got out earlier than usual from work today and went to the store to grab supplies for a cake, then I picked you up from pre-school.  We made a cake for Daddy together you helped me mix the batter with a whisk and then helped me flip the cakes on top of each other after I iced the first one then you helped me ice the top layer.  You were so excited to show our cake to Daddy and sing to him that we had to do it before dinner was ready so you would calm down and be able to eat your dinner.  Happy Birthday Daddy!

Day 24- Happy Birthday Connor!

Today we went to Chuckie Cheese to celebrate your friend Connor's birthday from your pre-school.  You had a great time running around with your Daddy and I playing games and then having cake and watching Connor open presents.  It got you all revved up for your birthday coming up soon and you can't wait to have your turn in March!

Day 23- A late Christmas Present

Aunt Terri sent home a present with Daddy from your Aunt Denise, Uncle Dan, and Cousin Connor that didnt' make it over to the celebration on Christmas Eve when we opened presents so you got to have another present making Christmas stretch out even longer.  You really loved the coloring book they got  you especially since it had different trucks and cars to color as well as a large page of stickers in the back!  Thanks Uncle Dan, Aunt Denise, and Connor!

Day 22- Chino Time!

If you are good at pre-school and home all week you get to get a "chino" from Starbucks on Friday.  Now, I'm not really that crazy of a Mom it doesn't have coffee in it because like me you don't like the taste of coffee and it makes Mommy sick to her stomach so the "chinos" that we get are made with milk and ice and no coffee.  Today you got a carmel one and you loved it.  I had to take a picture of you with your frappachino to show what you work for each week at being the good boy your Daddy and I both know you are.

Day 21- Spaghetti face

You love spaghetti, and I love watching you have fun slurpping the noodles.  Your face gets so cute and messy after eating it always makes me smile.  Your favorite part of spaghetti though is the meatballs and you can eat as many if not more meatballs than Mommy and Daddy you'd probably just eat a plate full of meatballs if we let you.  I wanted to take a picture of you with your messy spaghetti face sucking up some noodles.

Day 20- Pancakes for dinner

I guess you take after both of us sometimes when it comes to food.  Mommy is not a breakfast for dinner person and Daddy thinks breakfast for dinner is a great idea.  I knew you wouldn't want to eat the chicken and rice that we were having tonight so I offered you some pancakes to see what you would think about that and you agreed.  While they were cooking you kept asking why you were having those for dinner since pancakes were for breakfast and it wasn't breakfast you were very confused, so I guess Mommy has rubbed off on you a bit more than Daddy when it comes to breakfast for dinner.  You loved every bite of your pancakes with butter for dinner and ate it all so maybe next time Daddy can swing you around more towards his way of thinking about breakfast for dinner.

Day 19-Play date with friends

Aunt Tina called us up tonight and asked if we could watch Emily and Claire so she could go to her cake decorating class since Uncle Alan was running late from work.  We went over and the three of you had a blast playing together in the playroom, playing hide and seek, and having dessert once Daddy brought it along with dinner.  It is so fun to watch you all having so much fun, so I grabbed Aunt Tina's camera and got a few quick shots of you all in the playroom to document the fun you had today.

Day 18- S'mores!

Today we had another treasured pajama day at home since Mommy had off of work and kept you home from school we watched Transformers, played games, and had a blast together.  After you got up from your nap we made s'mores and you thought it was so cool how the marshmellows puff up then shrink down while cooking in the microwave.  You cracked me up when you started getting messy and then didn't want to pick it up because it was too sticky until I threatned to eat it for you and you managed to keep eating until you had gobbled up every last bite.

Day 17- Snuggles before bed

It was time for bed for Brant and so I went to go say goodnight and give him some goodnight love before he heads to bed with Daddy for their night time routine.  I saw the two of them together in the media room and had to grab my camera to capture my two favorite guys together snuggling before night-night time.

Day 16- Whistling Straw

Brant found a Christmas goodie bag that he got for Christmas this morning and wanted me to open it.  Inside the bag was a penguin straw that whistles when you blow it.  The sound it makes is very loud and annoying, so of course he was in love.  We are definitely going to have to limit the amount of time he has this in his hands so I don't have a constant headache.

Day 15- A late start

Well I guess the late nights finally caught up with me I fell asleep in our media room in front of the television and never ended up getting out of the chair to go back to bed.  Since I didn't go to my bedroom the alarm didn't get set and my husband didn't set his that night either.  We woke up just after 6:45 AM much to my dismay since my alarm usually goes off at 6:00 AM so it was a huge rush to get everyone ready for the day and get to work and school.  We all made it, I was just barely on time and thankfully my husband doesn't have a set time to be at work because he also got caught in some major traffic and got into work in the late morning hours.  At least the media room chairs are comfy. :)

Day 14- Special Popcorn

You have been eying the special white chocolate flavored popcorn that Mommy got from one of her students for Christmas for a while now.  Today you asked if you could have some, and were told no that it was for Mommy and it was special popcorn to which you threw a fit and had to go to your room to calm down.  You calmed down and were very good afterwards and ate all of your dinner so I decided to share it with you and let you have some.  You really enjoyed eating it while watching Backyardigans on TV before bedtime tonight.  Hopefully you don't end up eating it all and I get at least a small taste.

Day 13- WIDE AWAKE!

You did NOT want to go to sleep tonight, you kept getting up with tons of excuses...I need a drink, I need to go to the bathroom, I have a boo-boo, I need someone to lay down with me, were some of the ones that you told me tonight.  I went to get my camera to check on you a while later to attempt a cute sleepy picture, and to my surprise you were still wide awake at almost 9:00 PM when your bedtime is 7:30!  You are getting used to me having my camera out even more often than normal now that I am taking at least one picture a day, so you were very good natured about me getting a picture of you wide awake in your bed.  You are such a silly little man with an overload of energy...hopefully you don't cause too much trouble when it's time to get up in the morning.

Day 12- Macaroni obession

I asked your Daddy to get some Easy Mac for you to have for your lunches at Preschool now and then, but little did I realize how much you would LOVE it.  You ate it for lunch then you wanted it again for dinner that night, you even turned down a cheesburger from Sonic to have it for dinner the following night.  So I took a picture of the Easy Mac to remember how much you are loving it right now.

Day 11- Pairs Running

Brant and I discovered the 2 person running activity on the Wii today when I was working out.  He wanted to run with me so we gave it a try.  We are new to our Wii so I couldn't figure out how to change the second character so he was very good natured about having to have a girl as his character.  He loved how the characters would jump off of high places like cliffs and run in the water on the beach.  He had a blast and we had to do it two times that night because he couldn't get enough.  I'm sure this will be a routine he will want to try to continue doing with me as time goes on since he seemed to love it so much.  I had a great time running beside my little man as we played on the Wii together.

Day 10- First cup of cocoa

I'm not sure I'm liking this cold weather at all!  I am okay with the cold as long as I can stay indoors and enjoy a nice hot cup of cocoa and snuggle up with a blanket and a good book for a while or be able to scrap away while I enjoy my cocoa with lots of mini marshmellows on top of course.  Brant saw me drinking mine today and actually wanted to try it this time so I let him have some on my spoon and he loved it and wanted his own mug full of cocoa with marshmellows just like Mommy.  I told him that he couldn't drink any until Mommy got her camera and he sat there like a good little man waiting for me to get the camera to take pictures of him with his first cup of cocoa.  I have a feeling there will be many more where that came from if this cold weather continues and he is like his Mommy. :)

Day 9 - The crazy things you do!

You love to color pictures like most kids do, and you love to give them to people.  Today you came to show us a new picture while we were each working in our offices and we noticed out of the corner of our eye that your arm was blending into your paper.  You had gotten marker ALL OVER your one arm from your coloring.  This was definitely something Mommy had to document so I went to grab the camera and told you to sit in the box that the new TV we got for Christmas came in since it is almost as tall as you and show me your arm, which you proudly did right before I marched you off to take a bath.  You were very mad that I told you that you couldn't have any color tabs in your water to make it turn colors because you already had more than enough color on your arm.  You had a great time playing in the bathtub though and soon forgot that it wasn't colored this time, so it all ended well for all of us, you were clean and you had fun.

Day 8 -New slippers and pajamas

Today was Friday and Brant had a great first week back to school and was good for his teachers all week so I took him to Target for some shopping and a chino.  While we were there he picked out some new Thomas the Train pajamas, and he wanted to get some slippers, but the didn't have any.  We payed for everything and went on to Payless to see if we could have better luck finding slippers, but alas all they had were ones that were too small or pink girly ones.  We tried one more place since Famous Footwear was next door we gave them a shot and the nice salesman showed us where the slippers were and there were not to many left, thankfully there was one pair left in your size so we grabbed them and went to pay.  You were very excited to have your new slippers and wanted to wear them out of the store, but I wouldn't let you since it was way TOO COLD outside so we went outside to set out for home.  I had to get a picture of your new McQueen slippers and you can even see the bottoms of your new pajamas that you insisted on wearing to bed that night in the picture as well.  I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of them as you clomp around the house in them.

Day 7- Pajama's and Pizza!

Well today was an odd day, school was closed today due to ice on the roads and so Brant and I stayed tucked up in the house and had one of our favorite type of days...pajama day!  We stayed in our pajamas all day and we ordered in pizza for lunch and played together, watched some movies and just enjoyed an extra day back together after going back to work and school after we had just been home together for two weeks this was like an extra day back. :)  I took a picture of Brant eating his pizza on one of our comfy power media room chairs in front of the big screen while we were watching Spider-man 3.  He was excited to have the treat of getting to eat in the media room instead of at the table, since it was a special day home we indulged and just relaxed like lazy bums and it was fantastic.

Day 6- Saving the planet?

I know I'm not as good as I should be about trying to help our enviornment so I'm finally starting to jump on the bandwagon of re-usable bags for when you go shopping.  I think this will be a great way to do my part and help reduce trash, waste and the amount of plastic we use in my house.  I have started a small collection of bags and will be gradually building up my collection so that I can use these bags instead of plastic bags when I go shopping.  Here's to a year trying to be a little more eco-friendly!

Day 5- getting back in gear

I'm sad to say that the holidays hit me hard, and all that good food is to blame along with the fact that I was very lax in exercising.  With the new Wii we got for Christmas it has helped jump start my drive and make exercising fun again.  I got back on the exercise wagon today and I'm going to try to do better about what I am eating also so today I took a picture of the Wii fit balance board with its great green cover with the cute feet on it to remind myself that I will get back into gear and get back to a healthier me.

Day 4- A long day back!

Today was the first day back to work and the first day back to school for both Brant and I today after a nice two weeks spent doing all kinds of fun stuff at home together we both were dragging our feet about getting out of bed.  Brant had a busy fun day at school, then we went to Little Gym tonight for a make-up class and then had a later dinner afterwards so needless to say tonight there wasn't any extra getting out of bed excuses he was really tired and after I laid down with him for a little while he soon fell asleep with all his animals around him.  Here is to the end of our first day back, we made it...now to try to get up again tomorrow!

Day 3- Mad Superhero skills- Wolverine and the claw

Today my little man was really into playing with the costumes in his costume box especially since Mommy got him some new vitamins with Superheros on the bottle so he knows that his vitamins will help him to be strong like his favorite superheros.  He wanted to put on his costumes and try out his mad superhero skills that he got from his first day of taking the vitamins, he put on his Black Spider-man outfit first and had some fun in it, but it didn't last long.  He wanted to be Hulk next, but couldn't find where he left the mask so he went on to Wolverine.  His Wolverine costume made him really excited because he remembered that not only did he get the Wolverine costume for Christmas (from Mom and Dad), but he got a Wolverine extending plastic claw from his Great Aunt, and Uncle and his cousin so he had fun showing off his mad Wolverine skills shouting out "Ching, Ching!" the noise it makes when the claw extends.  Here is a picture of my little man showing off his mad superhero skills as Wolverine!

Day 2- Heroes

Yes my photo today is of our new flat screen television that we got as a family gift from Santa to go along with the new Wii that is hooked up to the laptop to watch Heroes season 1.  My husband and I had never seen this show and I got some promotional credit money from Amazon so I decided to buy season one and only had to spend 7 or 8 dollars for it so I figured it would be worth a try.  We are really enjoying it and have been having nightly marathons as long as we can stay awake to watch Heros since New Years Eve to finish out season 1.  I already bought seasons 2 and 3 on DVD so we are set to continue on from there in our fabulous media room, since that Television we don't have a cord to hook up to the tv we had to watch it in the living room.  So without further ado here is a picture of the television as we were watching Heroes during our nightly marathon until season one is finished.

Photo a Day 1 - Wii Boxing

Hi everyone, I'm going to give this P365 a shot this year and attempt to do a photo a day.  I really need to get out my camera more often than the major events and just cute stuff my little man does to document our lives better and more fully.  I will post my pictures here so this will hopefully help keep me accountable.

Today's picture is of my son playing the new Wii we got for Christmas this year, he LOVES boxing and is very animated while playing.  He plays by himself and sometimes with his Daddy and he is totally in LOVE with the Wii so I wanted to capture his fun and animated excitement with our family gift for day one since he is the main reason I scrap.
